Nokia X7 Mobile Phone Handset Review Features Specifications

The X7 is the latest handset from established manufacturer Nokia. This latest smartphone combines power with a large screen and some excellent features to give you a phone that excels in most areas, but there is one area where the device really does stand out and this is in the High Definition department. HD gives users a higher quality image than ever before thanks to more pixels making up the screen. This makes the X7 the perfect phone for both video and gaming fans.

The Nokia X7 is a mobile phone that has been unveiled by Nokia and it is going to follow the new Nokia strategy of introducing a number of mobile phones in this year. The recent success of the Nokia N8 and the Nokia E7 has pushed Nokia into making the Nokia X7, which promises to bring about the best in both the phones. The Nokia X7 is one that is going to have a lot of style in its design and it is not like every other mobile phone that is being launched today. It is certainly radical in the way that it looks and is a good thing since it will help the Nokia X7 to stand out from the rest of the crowd. The Nokia X7 will also be standing out from the rest of the crowd using the large 4 inch touch screen display that is very similar to the display found in the Nokia E7
The ClearBlack display technology is also present, which is going to make the Nokia X7 better than the Nokia N8. Even though the operating system and the processor specifications are very similar to the Nokia N8, it is going to employ it a different interface to both the Nokia N8
and the Nokia E7.
The main reason that graphics look so crisp and video so defined is thanks to the high quality of screen that is used in this model. Nokia have moved away from LCD technology with this model and instead opted for AMOLED. The basic difference between these types is that LCD requires the use of a back light to produce the image and AMOLED does not. This results in LCD not performing as well in bright conditions in addition to being a physically deeper display thus making the handsets generally more chunky. The screen offers a combination of over 16 million colours together with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels which together can be attributed to the high quality that can be seen. For watching movies the X7 is an exceptional handset thanks to not only the quality offered by the screen but also the number of file formats that the phone can decode. Amongst these you will find xvid and MP4 as well as DivX. This latter codec in renowned for its ability to cram lengthy segments of video into relatively small spaces with minimal loss of quality.

The other area where the Nokia X7 exceeds itself is in the gaming department. Being a Nokia smartphone the handset can access the excellent Ovi store. This store is Nokia's own version of iTunes and not only offers a wealth of music and video for download but also a large range of games titles. These titles are from some of the biggest names in the market and range from arcade titles such as the global sensation "Angry Birds" to big international names such as "FIFA 11". An in built graphics accelerator helps enhance the overall experience and the 680Mhz processor is ample to keep things moving along at a great speed. Should you tire of playing games and want to watch some on demand services, the phone WiFi or 3G connection can be used to pick up channels such as BBC and CNN.
