India received the new galaxy note by Samsung with commercial-open a new category

South Korea’s Samsung Electronics on Wednesday launched ‘Galaxy Note’ in India -- priced at Rs 34,990 -- that will work as both a tablet PC and a mobile handset.
Introduced as a new category, the device is smaller than a tablet PC but larger than a conventional handset with a 5.3-inch HD touchscreen display.
It comes with an advanced pen-input technology, called the Smart Pen.
“Galaxy Note is a product that seeks to open a new category in the mobile industry. The Smart Pen interface allows users to sketch, write, create and share more than ever before from one device,” Samsung India Country Head (Mobile and IT) Ranjit Yadav told reporters in New Delhi.
Together with commercial availability of Galaxy Note, Samsung also announced the launch of ‘S Choice’, a new category menu under the Samsung Apps, with applications specially designed for Galaxy Note’s Smart Pen feature.
The Android-based device comes with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor ensuring fast and smooth user interface usage, 8MP camera and 2MP front camera.
