The HTC Evo 3D Perfect For Multimedia Use

The Evo 3D signifies HTCs arrival in the 3D mobile phone market. With the technology currently filtering through all areas of the home entertainment and technology sector it certainly seems to be the word on everyone’s lips in 2011. On a small scale however there are very few products that can offer consumers the 3D experience. This is partly due to the fact that on home televisions, computers and cinema screens it is practical for consumers to wear the glasses that trick the brain into believing it is seeing a 3D image. With handheld, portable devices the glasses were simply not the way forward. Thanks to the development of stereoscopic screen technology users can now achieve the same effect without glasses being needed. This has lead to products filtering into the marketplace. Firstly we had Nintendo’s 3DS followed by the first mobile phone, the LG Optimus 3D. Now we can add the HTC Evo 3D to that list, a phone that not only impresses in this area but in all others as well.
Anybody purchasing a 3D phone is likely to have a keen interest in the multi media elements of the handset. If you take a look around the camera and video facilities found on the Evo 3D then they certainly does not disappoint. Where the handset differs cosmetically from other phones is that when you take a look at the back panel you will see that there are actually two camera lenses. This enables users to capture 3D images. How it works is that the phone actually captures two images and merges them together, with one of the lenses signifying what your left eye sees and the other your right eye. The special screen on the phone then blocks light from certain angles allowing your own eyes to see the correct images. The brain then does the rest of the work by processing these shots and coming up with a three dimensional medium.
In terms of quality the HTC Evo 3D certainly offers some superb specifications. The 5 mega pixel camera offers a great image resolution for 2D shots whilst resolution drops to 2 mega pixels for 3D images as both lenses are being used. One of the main attractions of this phone is the ability to take a shot and instantly show it to your friends and colleagues in 3D. The usual array of high end camera features are also present so you have an auto focus to help eliminate blurred photographs and a powerful dual LED flash enabling great shots at any time of day or night. Video capture is also possible on the phone and like the still camera facility there are two different quality's for 2D and 3D footage. For traditional clips then the very highest quality is achievable which equates to a resolution of 1080P, or otherwise known as full HD. Only a small drop in resolution results from switching to 3D and the resulting resolution is 720P which is still classified as High Definition.
The HTC Evo 3D is a phone that obviously draws attention to itself because of its 3D features, however if you put these to one side you are left with a great multi media handset that boasts a superb still camera and excellent video capture.
