How to sync your mobile phone Bluetooth:
Bluetooth is a technology that allows devices to connect and send information to each other without the need for wires. This is especially useful for people who talk a lot through their mobile phones. With Bluetooth, you can use a specially-designed Bluetooth headset to connect wirelessly to your phone. This enables you to answer your calls, hands-free, minus the clutter of cords.
- Adjust your phone settings. First of all, you will need to set your phone so that it will discover any Bluetooth devices that are in the vicinity. Remember, most phones have the Bluetooth function turned off by default. This is important, since running the Bluetooth function all the time will drain your battery faster. Apart from this, some people might hack into your phone using the Bluetooth connection. There have been instances where viruses are sent to phones via Bluetooth connections. To enable Bluetooth device, simply go to the Tools or Options or the Connectivity settings in your phone and enable the function.
- Use the discovery mode. Next, you will need to put your own Bluetooth device in discovery mode. Discover mode allows other devices, such as your cell phone, to detect the Bluetooth headset that you want to connect to your mobile phone. To put your device into discovery mode, you will need to press the button twice on your device. There are usually indicator lights that will blink rapidly to show that the device is already in discovery mode. Some devices, however, work differently.
- Find the Bluetooth device. Now, you will need to allow your mobile phone to search for the Bluetooth device itself. If your mobile phone is set to detect the Bluetooth devices, which it should be if you were able to follow step one, and if the Bluetooth headset is in discovery mode, then the mobile phone should be able to detect the Bluetooth device in a couple of seconds.
- Add the pass code. Once the mobile phone has detected the Bluetooth device, you will need to add a pass code. The pass code is usually 0000, although you can change the pass code later on for added security. Once you have entered the pass code, you should be able to use the Bluetooth headset.
- Test the connection. There are several ways for you to test the headset and your Bluetooth connection. First, you can ask someone to call you. Answer via your Bluetooth headset, and if the connection is good, then you should be able to hear the person on the other end of the line very clearly. Alternately, you can try playing music and listening to it via your Bluetooth headset.
