• Adjust your phone settings. First of all, you will need to set your phone so that it will discover any Bluetooth devices that are in the vicinity. • Use the discovery mode. Next, you will need to put your own Bluetooth device in discovery mode. To put your device into discovery mode, you will need to press the button twice on your device. There are usually indicator lights that will blink rapidly to show that the device is already in discovery mode. Some devices, however, work differently.

• Add the pass code. Once the mobile phone has detected the Bluetooth device, you will need to add a pass code. The pass code is usually 0000, although you can change the pass code later on for added security. Once you have entered the pass code, you should be able to use the Bluetooth headset.
• Test the connection. There are several ways for you to test the headset and your Bluetooth connection. First, you can ask someone to call you. Answer via your Bluetooth headset, and if the connection is good, then you should be able to hear the person on the other end of the line very clearly. Alternately, you can try playing music and listening to it via your Bluetooth headset.
